Two girls go missing from Nagaon Civil Hospital

Bureau Report, Nagaon, September 6: Sensation prevailed at Nagaon this morning after two children staying with a female patient reportedly went missing from Nagaon BP Civil Hospital. Sources said that one Hasan Ali admitted a woman with burn injury along with two children including a three years old baby boy and a ten years old girl at Nagaon BP Civil Hospital a couple of weeks back and then Hasan Ali fled from the scene. The woman succumbed to her burnt injury last evening and since her death, her children went missing, sources said. The staff and nurses of the hospital when enquired about the attendant of the patient, the incident of missing the children came into light. Meanwhile, police from the hospital outpost rushed to the hospital ward and recorded all in detail about the missing children as well as Hasan Ali. While speaking to some media persons here, some staff and nurses of the hospital said that the baby boy was found missing a couple of days ago. They said they had learnt from the ten years old girl that the baby boy was sold by the girl herself at Rs 8000 to someone else and the girl absconded right after the death of the woman.
