Presidential Election 2022: AIUDF to vote for Yashwant Sinha

STAFF REPORTER, Guwahati, July 17: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) party will vote for the opposition’s common candidate Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election to be held on Monday. The party made this disclosure while addressing a press conference here on Sunday. Backing the UPA-candidate Yashwant Sinha, AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam stated that the party has appointed him and MLA Majibur Rahman as the party’s agents for the presidential poll. Addressing the press conference, Islam said, “Sinha is not a Congress candidate. Likewise, the Congress party, we are also supporting Yashwant Sinha. We on behalf of the AIUDF party urged every Congress MLAs to vote in favour of Sinha.” Meanwhile, the AIUDF party has claimed that the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (AIUDF) has not invited them during Yashwant Sinha’s presidential election campaign in Assam.
