Staff Reporter, Nagaon: In a tragic incident, a young businessman was drowned in the Hadhadi waterfall near Chapalana, under the Samaguri Police Station in Nagaon district, this morning here. The young businessman has been identified as Sanayam Jain (21) from Nagaon town, lost his life while enjoying water activities with his friends in the waterfall this morning. According to sources, Sanayam Jain, son of the late Sudarshan Jain, was at the waterfall along with his four boy friends and three girl friends when he drowned. His friends and bystanders were panicked after witnessing the tragic catastrophe of the young businessman.Soon after the incident, upon being informed, the local police as well as the SDRF team immediately arrived at the spot and launched an operation in search of the body of the youth. Meanwhile the SDRF personnel as well as local police recovered the body of the victim and sent it to Nagaon Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Besides, police also started an investigation into the incident. It's pertinent to mention here that the news of the unfortunate death of the youth, has shocked the Nagaon community. Rupak Sarma, MLA of the Nagaon-Batadroba constituency, has expressed deep sorrow and condolences to the bereaved family. It is witnessed too that this incident is not the only one, as several youths had previously lost their lives at the Hadhadi waterfall and blue water lake in the area. The conscious community of the small town is urging caution and calling on the Nagaon district administration to take proactive safety measures especially in those tourist's locations of the district.
