Staff Reporter, Bongaigaon: In a shocking and meticulously coordinated heist, burglars struck three houses simultaneously in the Barshongaon area of Bongaigaon, leaving the local community rattled and concerned about growing security lapses. The residences of Ajit Das, Beni Madhab Singh, and Satish Sharma were targeted while the families were away, allowing the intruders to operate undisturbed. The burglars executed the crime with alarming precision, pointing to a well-planned operation. According to police sources, the thieves looted gold ornaments worth over ₹7 lakh from Ajit Das’s house. Satish Sharma’s residence was also ransacked, with the culprits fleeing with gold jewellery and an unspecified amount of cash. The extent of the loss at Beni Madhab Singh’s home is still being assessed. Senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police, rushed to the scene and launched an intensive investigation. Forensic experts have been deployed, and CCTV footage from the neighborhood is under review in an effort to identify the culprits. The incident has sparked concern among residents over the apparent lack of effective surveillance and neighborhood policing.
