Staff Reporter, North Lakhimpur: The Telahi Kamalabaria Anchalik Sakha Sahitya Sabha, an active branch of the Asom Sahitya Sabha, inaugurated a special lecture series titled Boktritamala-1 at PMShree Angarkhowa Chariali Higher Secondary School on Saturday. Leela Saikia, a subject teacher from ADK Higher Secondary School, delivered the opening lecture on "Books and Stimulation." She analytically highlighted how books serve as sources of inspiration and courage for students, citing various examples. The event was chaired by Nila Chutia, president of the branch literary body. During the same program, Jeevanar Dabi, a collection of three selected plays by renowned playwright Makhan Chandra Saikia, was officially released by Khirod Chandra Gogoi, principal of the host school. As part of their contribution to education, the literary body donated bundles of valuable books to the school library. The event was attended by prominent guests including Pranab Bujarbarua, principal of Indira Gandhi Higher Secondary School, Sahitya Sabha office bearers Syed Ahidur Rahman, Prasant Kumar Nath, Haren Hazarika, Rima Barthakur, Gunakanta Koch, along with teachers and students of the school.
