Nikhil Kumar Mundra, Hojai: Hojai District Administration felicitated Dr. Martina Tudu, the first female doctor from Santal tribe. District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati honoured her with assamese phulam gamusa, a bouquet and a book at the District Commissioner Conference hall located at district headquarter Srimanta Sankardev Nagar in Hojai on Friday. Notably, She secured 418th rank in the recently declared MBBS final examination results from Tezpur Medical College under Srimanta Sankardev University of Health Sciences. Martina, a resident of Azarbari in Hojai district, is proud of her achievement. Her aim is to return to her roots, aspiring to bring healthcare to poor tribal communities in Assam. Her goal is part of India's growing focus on bridging healthcare gaps in rural and tribal regions. Speaking on the occasion, District Commissioner Bidyut Bikash Bhagwati congratulated Dr. Martina Tudu and wished her a bright future. He said Dr. Tudu is an inspiration for the upcoming generation. He said she should continue her inspiring journey and work for the welfare of society. During the felicitation ceremony, her parents, her family members and other officials were present.
