Silchar, January 28: A significant review meeting on the Prime Minister’s Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), a central government's scheme ,was held at the new conference hall of the DC'S Office, here on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Adil Khan, Senior Secretary to the Government of Assam, Welfare of Minorities and Development Department. This high-level discussion brought together key officials to assess the current status and progress of PMJVK projects in the Barak Valley region. The gathering witnessed the active participation of district commissioners and development officials from Cachar, Sribhumi, and Hailakandi. Prominent attendees included Mridul Yadav, District Commissioner, Cachar; Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi, District Commissioner, Sribhumi; and Nisarg Hivare, District Commissioner, Hailakandi. Additionally, District Development Commissioners(DDC), Norsing Bey (Cachar), Dipak Jidung (Sribhumi), and Eldad L. Faihriem (Hailakandi) were present alongside other key officers from the Transformation and Development departments of the three districts. The meeting revolved around a detailed review of the ongoing PMJVK projects aimed at fostering inclusive growth and development. Officials engaged in deliberations to ensure the timely completion of various schemes under PMJVK and emphasized implementing necessary measures to meet established deadlines. A key focus was placed on monitoring the geo-tagging progress of assets created under the program, which is instrumental in enhancing accountability and transparency in the developmental process across the Barak Valley. This collaborative initiative underscores the commitment of the Government of Assam to uplift minority communities through efficient execution of welfare programs. By bringing together officials from multiple districts, the meeting served as a platform for aligning strategies, sharing progress updates, and addressing challenges in a coordinated manner. The outcomes of this review meeting are expected to significantly accelerate the pace of development in Cachar, Sribhumi, and Hailakandi districts, ensuring impactful results for the local communities.
