Manas National Park to reopen for tourists on October 1

Staff Reporter, Bajali, September 27: The World Heritage Site, Manas National Park and Tiger Reserve in Baksa district in Assam to reopen October 1 next for the tourist season 2023-2024. In an official notice on September 26 issued by Rajen Choudhury, Field Director of Manas National Park informed the reopening news. Choudhury also announced that Manas National Park would open for tourists subject to the relevant provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and the Assam Wildlife (Protection) Rules, 1997. A special event has been organized at the Bahbari Range of the national park to commemorate the reopening. It is to be mentioned that the park has been closed due to the monsoon season since June 5 last.
