MLA Mrinal Saikia to resign after Lok Sabha election result

Staff Reporter, Guwahati, August 26: Mrinal Saikia, the MLA from Khumtai constituency, has announced that if the Congress party wins 9 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Assam, he will resign as an MLA. Assam Pradesh Congress President Bhupen Bora had stated that the party will secure 9 seats in the upcoming elections in Assam. In response, Saikia has issued a counter challenge, adding to the ongoing political discourse in the state.
