Miscreants open fire at Tipong at night

Bikash Barua, Tinsukia October 21: The firing took place at a place called Sali in Tipong Koliyari under Lekhapani police station in Tinsukia district.Miscreants fired two rounds at a shop at night.Apart from the shop, a motorcycle parked in the shop was damaged in the firing incident.The miscreants physically assaulted a youth and fled. Eyewitnesses said that the miscreants had come with black clothes on their face.A team of Lekhapani police and Assam Rifles reached the spot at night and launched a search for the miscreants.It is not yet known who caused the firing and for what reason.There is a palpable tension in the entire area over the firing incident that took place at night.
