GUTA wants rollback of move to teach Maths, Science in English

Staff Reporter, Guwahati, August 8: University Teachers’ Association (GUTA) Executive Committee held on August 5 to discuss in threadbare the implications of the proposal of the Assam Government to introduce the teaching of mathematics and science in English medium in government schools from Class III onwards. The executive body was unanimous in its view that introduction of such a system will be further detrimental to the students of the state. The GUTA demands that this decision should be immediately withdrawn for the better interest of the students of the state- a release added.
