MSSV introduced B.Sc in digital forensics & AMP cyber security course

Hareswar Borah, Nagaon, July 1: Mahapurush Srimanta Shankardev Vishwavidyalaya (MSSV) introduced an unique B. Sc. in Digital Forensics and AMP cyber security course in the university from the current session. While addressing a press conference held today in the university, professor Mridul Hazarika, vice chancellor of the university and Babul Bora, director (finance and planning) cum chief coordinator of the university claimed that the Srimanta Shankardev Vishwavidyalaya took various steps to fulfill the current academic needs and requirements of students and said B.Sc. in digital forensics and amp: cyber security course is introduced for the first time in north-east India. Taking the rapid expansion of digital applications in every walks of life, security issues have emerged as important requirements for survival. Besides, frequent cyber crimes have created havoc among all and skilled manpower to deal with such issues is just limited, they added. But the new course in digital forensics and amp cyber security will create a new phenomenon with sufficient skilled manpower to deal with those issues not only in Northeast, but in the entire country, the vice chancellor professor Mridul Hazarika said claiming that this new course would open more jobs opportunities in digital giants operating in various countries. They however said that the university also introduced another unique course - BA in public administration and governance in the university from the current session intending to create young manpower who could be eligible for public services examinations. The programme for BA in public administration and governance will be mentored by Rajib Bora, former APSC chairman, a release added. Dr Mrinal Kumar Bora, registrar, Dr Nayanmoni Saikia, deputy registrar, Dr Santanu Kalita, HoD, Computer Science, Gouri Prasad Sarma, PRO of the university were also present in the press conference today.
