Guwahati, November 17: Regional Science Centre, Guwahati is going to organize a North East Zonal Level Science Drama Competition at this Centre on November 18. The aim of the competition is to create science awareness among the students and others at large through Science Drama. The best Drama team from each north east state will participate in the NE Zonal Level Science Drama Competition. Each team comprising 8 students studying in classes VI-X will perform their drama for 30 minutes before a panel of judges. The theme of this Science Drama Competition will be based on main theme: Science & Technology for the benefit of mankind, Sub Themes like :a) Story of Vaccines (b) Pandemic: Social & Scientific issues (c) Technology Innovation for Improving Quality of Life (d)Basic Sciences & Sustainable Development. Two best Drama teams (winner & Runner) in the competition will be selected for National Level Science Drama Festival which will be held at Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bengaluru on January 5 to 6 next. S. Natarajan, Deputy Director General, Guwahati Doordarshan Kendra to be present as the Chief Guest in the valedictory function at the auditorium of Centre at 4pm on November 18. The drama Competition started from 11 o’clock in the morning.
