College principal's meeting held at Biswanath

ANJAN BASKOTA, Biswanath Chariali, July 6: The Darrang-Sonitpur and Biswanath circle of Assam College Principals Council on July 5 held a meeting at Biswanath College and met the deputy commissioner of Biswanath Munindra Nath Nagatey. The delegates included Dr. Jyoti Kamal Hazarika, president of the council, Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma, secretary of the council along with Dr. Palash Mani Saikia; principal of Darrang College, Dr. Jiban Chandra Nath, principal of Behali Degree College and Dr. Swapan Kumar Kalita met Biswanath DC and submitted a memorandum demanding compensation for Chaiduar College which has been badly affected by the recent wave of floods. The library, computer lab, auditorium, and a large section of furniture have been damaged by the flash flood. The delegates demanded financial assistance from district administration for the affected college. Later the college principal's team visited Chay Duar College and handed over a cheque of one lakh to Dr. Anjan Jyoti Ojha, principal of Chaiduar College.
