News Desk, Itanagar: A two-day Military-Civil Fusion Seminar concluded successfully at Rayang, Arunachal Pradesh, marking a significant step towards reinforcing the “whole-of-nation” approach in India’s border development, national security, and regional integration. The seminar brought together key stakeholders from the Armed Forces, Civil Administration, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Roads Organisation (BRO), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Agriculture Department, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and the State Police. Prominent participants included Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang, Upper Siang SP Token Saring, and Pasighat SP Pankaj Lamba, who shared vital inputs on governance, law enforcement, and challenges in frontier development. Day one focused on border management, infrastructure enhancement, strategic tourism, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) coordination. Participants shared institutional best practices and engaged in in-depth discussions on boosting regional resilience through joint efforts. On the second day, attention shifted to long-term development issues, including the Siang Multipurpose Project, and the crucial role of human resource development in national growth. The General Officer Commanding of the Spearhead Division shared key military insights to deepen civil-military synergy in the region. The seminar concluded with actionable recommendations to strengthen coordination between military and civil agencies, align infrastructure with strategic needs, enhance disaster response capabilities, and promote strategic tourism to foster economic and national unity. The event underscored the shared commitment of all stakeholders to transforming India’s border areas into secure, prosperous, and strategically integrated zones, playing a pivotal role in the nation’s future.
