Jummar Basar appointed new Itanagar SP

News Desk,Itanagar: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Arunachal Pradesh government has appointed Jummar Basar (APPS) as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), replacing IPS officer Rohit Rajbir Singh, who has been transferred to New Delhi. The state government, through a notification issued by the Chief Secretary on Monday, confirmed a series of high-level transfers and postings across the police department. These changes were recommended by the Police Establishment Board (PEB) in its latest meeting. Nyelam Nega, who was previously serving as SP (Security), has been appointed as the new SP of Naharlagun, taking over from IPS officer Mihin Gambo. Gambo has now been posted as SP (Special Branch) at Police Headquarters. Among other key appointments: IPS officer Surendra Choudhary has been named the new SP of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Tirap SP Singjatla Singpho will now serve as SP (Planning) at the Police Headquarters in Itanagar, Dusu Kaling (APPS), previously SP (Planning), has been appointed as the Principal of the Police Training Centre (PTC) in Banderdewa, IPS officer Shivendu Bhushan has been posted as SP Crime/SIT, Anurag Dwivedi has been named as the new SP of Anjaw district, while Aditya (IPS), formerly ASP Tirap, has been promoted and appointed as SP Tirap, Rike Kamsi (APPS), who was serving as SP Anjaw, has been transferred and will now serve as SP Security. The reshuffle is being viewed as part of the government’s ongoing effort to streamline policing operations and improve law enforcement efficiency in strategic and sensitive regions of the state. The new appointments are expected to bring fresh momentum to policing and administrative functions in both urban and remote areas.
