A Correspondent, Jorhat: In a horrifying case of domestic violence, a three-month-old girl was allegedly thrown into a well by her father following a heated argument with his wife in the Mariani area. The incident, which occurred at Tekla Line of Dalim Tea Estate, has left the local community in shock and outrage. The accused, Amar Boraik, was reportedly intoxicated when the tragedy unfolded. According to eyewitnesses, he forcefully snatched the infant from her grandmother’s lap during the quarrel and hurled her into a nearby well in a fit of rage. Alarmed by the incident, local residents immediately alerted the police. A team rushed to the scene, recovered the child’s body from the well, and arrested Boraik on the spot. Police have registered a case of murder against the accused, and an investigation is currently underway. “This is a deeply disturbing incident.
