Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali: The Department of Economics at Biswanath College unveiled the 3rd issue of *ECON*—the department's handwritten magazine—and the 4th issue of *ECONOMIA*—its annual newsletter—at an inaugural ceremony held on the college premises on Monday. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Chinta Mani Sharma, Principal of Biswanath College, and was chaired by Dr. Karabi Gogoi, Head of the Department. In his inaugural address, Dr. Sharma highlighted the importance of such creative initiatives, stating that magazine publishing nurtures artistic and creative talents among students. He commended the students and faculty members for their dedication and expressed hope that such efforts would continue in the future. The event also served as a farewell for the 6th Semester students. Several faculty members including Dr. Khagen Saikia, Rajeswar Boro, Balin Bhuyan, Dr. Mita Hazarika, Antareepa Borah, Manash Jyoti Das, Chandramoni Sharma, Ashomi Kalita, and Minakshi Gohain addressed the outgoing students, encouraging them to fulfill their responsibilities and carve a niche for themselves in the wider world. Dr. Karabi Gogoi extended her best wishes for the upcoming examinations and urged the students to maintain their connection with the department. The event was compered by Dixita Nath and was well attended by students of the Economics Department. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Deepranjan Bora, a 4th Semester student.
