Staff Reporter, Guwahati: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the Class X board examination results, with the Guwahati region posting a pass percentage of 84.14%. While this figure falls below the national average, it signals consistent academic performance across the northeastern region. Nationally, 93.60% of students cleared the Class X exams this year, reflecting a marginal improvement of 0.06 percentage points over last year’s figures. Girls continued their trend of outperforming boys, achieving a pass percentage of 95%, which is 2.37 percentage points higher than that of their male counterparts. The CBSE results were made available online, enabling students from across the country — including those under the Guwahati regional office — to access their scorecards through official portals. The board also facilitated result access via DigiLocker and SMS services to ensure smooth dissemination of information. Education officials noted that while Guwahati’s performance trails behind the national average, the region has shown steady academic outcomes in recent years. Efforts to enhance educational resources and teaching standards in the northeast are expected to further bridge the gap in the coming sessions. Students, parents, and educators can now begin preparations for higher secondary admissions, as schools and institutions begin counseling and application processes in the days to come.
