Assam CM formally inaugurates Live Studio Live Studio, NeVA, Queen’s Lawn, Conference Hall at ALA

Abhijit Chaliha, Guwahati, August 12: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma formally inaugurated Queen’s Lawn, Assam Legislative Assembly Live Studio, NeVA Sewa Kendra, Conference Hall and National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) in the extended infrastructure of Assam Legislative Assembly on August 12. In his lecture, CM Dr. Sarma said that Queen’s Lawn, Assam Legislative Assembly Live Studio, NeVA Sewa Kendra, Conference Hall and National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) will be beneficial in managing the legislative process and also improve the quality of it. NeVA is a transformative project under the Digital India initiative aiming for a paperless and digital state legislative process.
NeVA is a user-friendly Mobile App which is available on Android as well as on iOS. NeVA is a device neutral and member centric application created to equip them to handle diverse House Business smartly by putting entire information regarding member contact details, rules of procedure, list of business, notices, bulletins, bills, starred/unstarred questions and answers, papers laid, committee reports etc. in their hand held devices/ tablets and equip all Legislatures/ Departments to handle it efficiently - Dr. Sarma added. Moreover Queen's Lawn which was inaugurated in the MLA residential complex today would help the MLAs along with the general people who would come to meet them. Further the CM said that Assam Legislative Assembly Live Studio will telecast all legislative proceedings, interviews and panel discussions to communicate directly with the common people of the state. From now onwards every common person also can see the legislative process without any obstacles. Biswajit Daimary, Speaker, Assam Legislative Assembly; Deputy speaker Dr. Numal Momin; Pijush Hazarika, Minister for the Water Resource Department, I&PR etc.; Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia; Dr. Satya prakash Khatana, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, among others attended the programme.
