Guwahati, October 5: Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath of office to Reep Hazarika as State Information Commissioner at a ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan today. Earlier, Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Paban Kumar Borthakur sought the permission of the Governor to start the proceedings of the ceremony. The ceremony was attended among others by State Chief Information Commissioner Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, former State Chief Information Commissioner A.P.Rout, Special DGP Harmeet Singh, Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor SS Meenakshi Sundaram, Commissioner & Secretary, Administrative Reforms and Training Shantanu P Gotmare, DC Kamrup(M) Pallav Gopal Jha and a host of senior officers of the state government.
