Guwahati, October 3: The socio-cultural organisation 'Kristipathar' conferred Kristi Sadhana Award 2023-24 to Preeti Rekha Dutta in recognition of her research work on Borgeet & Srimanta Sankardeva. Paban Kalita, state Teachers' Awardee and Biro Mani Singh, former SDO under Manipur Govt. and cultural activist presented the award to Preeti Rekha Dutta in presence of well known Bengali writer Sunil Chakraborty and Poet Ajit Kumar Dutta at Dispur Press Club here on October 2. Preeti Rekha has been involving herself in various exercises in the field of Borgeet and Sankardev studies. She has already published a research based book on Sankardeva namely “Sankaradeva - As a pioneer of Social Engineering”. Dutta is a recipient of CCRT scholarship under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in Borgeet. Currently Preeti Rekha Dutta working as Assistant Professor in Assamese Department, BHB College, Sarupeta. Every year 'Kristipathar' confers awards to people for extraordinary works for the development of literature, culture, and social sectors in the state.
