Pijush Hazarika appeals to ULFA (I) to withdraw I-Day boycott call

Abhijit Chaliha, Guwahati, August 13: Assam cabinet minister Pijush Hazarika visited a drug de-addiction centre today at Bongaigaon. During his visit Hazarika appeals to the ULFA (I) chief Paresh Baruah to withdraw the independence day boycott call. He said that the people of Assam will actively participate in the festivities, regardless of the boycott call. It is to be mentioned that ULFA (independent) led by Paresh Baruah along with National Socialist Council of Nagaland’s GPRN/NSCN faction on Saturday called for a total boycott to the ensuing Independence Day celebration and to observe a day long strike against the alleged oppression of the Indian government. Minister Hazarika also louds on recent delimitation list. The delimitation plan will protect Assam and its indigenous people. Moreover the indigenous people of Assam would be dominant in 102 seats. Minister Pijush Hazarika has applauded the decrease in the number of seats for Badruddin Ajmal's political party, as revealed in the final draft of the Election Commission's constituency rescheduling. Speaking with a sense of satisfaction, Minister Hazarika shared, "Badruddin Ajmal's seats have come down in the final draft of the Election Commission's constituency rescheduling, and I am happy about that. I find it amusing. If Badruddin Ajmal is unhappy with the Election Commission's constituency redrawing process, I take pleasure in it." Minister Hazarika remarked, "Neither the Congress nor Gaurav Gogoi have saved the honor of any Bardowa than in this regard. Only the Election Commission should be thanked for this accomplishment." The economy of the country has improved considerably under the leadership of PM Modi. GST collections have shown a significant increase by 11% compared to last year. Everybody is aware that the country is on the right track and nobody will pull down to make India among the top countries of the world. BJP will come to power for the third time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi- he added. Hazarika also mourned over the demise of Indrani Tahbildar (44). Hazarika said that Indrani Tahbildar was an active party worker and her death is a heavy loss for the party. It is to be remembered that BJP, Kishan Morcha leader Indrani Tahbildar (44) allegedly died by suicide recently.
