Tusu Puja celebrated at Sootea

Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali, January 16: Like previous years, the No. 1 Gereki Gaon on the northern part of Sootea celebrated Tusu Parab with pomp and gaiety on Monday. In connection with the 3rd year of celebration, a series of competitions like drawing, recitation, extempore speech and traditional sports were organized from January 1. The concluding function and prize distribution ceremony was held on Monday with Babulal Khadiya, president of No. 1 Gereki Gaon development committee in the chair. Arun Bordoloi, a teacher graced the occasion as an appointed speaker who had highlighted the significance and importance of celebration of Tusu Puja. The concluding session was attended by Dhruba Karmakar, Punu Khadiya, Bhusar Khadiya beside others.
