Tinsukia, October 18: Digboi Battalion of Red Shield Division under the aegis of Spear Corps in collaboration with St. Xaviers Youth Association organized a football tournament with the aim of bringing youth to the mainstream by spreading the message of importance of sports and adopting a fit lifestyle. The tournament commenced on 11 September 22 and the final was played on 16 October 2022. 30 teams of the region participated in the month long tournament and drew a huge audience to witness the matches.The tournament’s final was witnessed by a humongous crowd of locals to support their teams. Indian Army while providing a platform for such tournaments urged and motivated other youths to come out in mainstream and adopt a healthy and drug free lifestyle.Final Teams were Monster FC, Kamanpathar and Dekiajan FC. Monster FC won the final by 3-1.
