BVASSS shines in District Level Yuva Utsav

Staff Reporter, North Lakhimpur, October 13: Several talented students of Brahmaputra Valley Academy Senior Secondary School, Lakhimpur have been able to bring laurels by obtaining many prizes in the District Level Yuva Utsav held on Wednesday in North Lakhimpur. The students of the institution, participating under the supervision of senior professor of Anthropology Department of the institute Mathura Das, secured positions in four different competitions out of five ones. Again, they made a special record by securing the highest number of prizes within the district. A student named Priithi Doley was able to get honour by securing first best competitor in the Declamation competition titled "Take Pride in our Heritage and Legacy" and second best competitor in the youth convention competition. Another student Anjar Shah Hazarika secured third position in the Declamation competition. In the Spot Writing of English Poem competition, Dikshita Chakravorty got the honour of first best competitor. On the other hand, female students belonging to the Missing community of the educational institution obtained the title of third best team by performing a beautiful dance of Missing folk culture in the cultural competition. The student Prithi Doley brought laurels to Brahmaputra Valley Academy Senior Secondary School along with Lakhimpur district by selecting the state level competition by showing best performance in both the Declamation as well as Youth Convention competitions. It is to be mentioned that District Level Yuva Utsav was held in the districts of all over India on Wednesday under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and in Lakhimpur district too, it was held as a part of that event under the aegis of North Lakhimpur Nehru Yuva Kendra where lots of students from various schools and colleges of Lakhimpur district took part.
