Leopard caged in Margherita Namdang

Staff Reporter, Tinsukia, September 3: A leopard was caged this morning at Namdang tea estate under West Margherita forest range office under Digboi forest division.The leopard had been terrorizing the tea garden for the past few days.Based on a complaint by locals the forest department had set up a cage to nab the leopard.And today the leopard is caged in cages set up by the forest department.Hundreds of eager people gather since morning to see the caged leopard.Later, however, the caged leopard was taken away by the forest department from the spot to another place. According to forest department officials, the caged leopard will be released into the forest area.
