Special Health Camp under Swasthya Sewa Abhijan

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, August 25: A special health camp was organised on August 25 at Nabapur Rajahua Bhawan under Madhyampur Gaon Panchayat under Sarupathar BPHC. The special health camp was inaugurated by the Joint Director of Health Services, Golaghat Dr. Arun Chandra Mahanta in presence of Sub Divisional Medical and Health Officer Dr. Paban Kumar Gonju, Dub Divisional Medical and Health Officer (Head Quarter) Dr. Ajit Gogoi. Child Specialist, Medicine Specialists, Gynecologist, Community Health Officers, Laboratory Technician, Pharmacist, ANMs etc were present apart from the team of Mobile Medical Unit and Rashtriya Bal Suraksha Karyakram. Various services like Antenatal Care, Postnatal Care, Laboratory services, screening of Non Communicable Diseases, TB, Malaria, Counseling etc were provided to the general people. This special health camp under Swasthya Sewa Abhijan is an initiative by National Health Mission, Assam which will be held from now on every month at different locations of the districts of Assam. The aim of the special health camp is to provide specialist services to the people under one roof right at their doorstep. The special health camps will enhance the health seeking behaviour of the people and generate awareness to make health their priority.
