Pranju Baruti brings laurel to Jamugurihat

Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali, August 21: Pranju Baruti, a student from Jamugurihat brought laurels to Jamugurihat by holding first class first position in the recently declared postgraduate results of Srimanta Sankardev University. He was a student of performing art having music as the main subject. He secured first class first position in the category of music. He is the first person to secure the first class first position from the entire Sonitpur district and Jamugurihat as well. He studied folk music of Assam under the guidance of assistant professor Goutam Saikia and Jinti Das. Pranju is the son of Ram Baruti and Niju Baruti of Barhampur here. Organizations and individuals have conveyed best wishes to Pranju for his achievement.
