Mathematics Olympiad completed

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, August 21: The Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2022, organized by the Assam Academy Mathematics, was held across the state today. The examination was conducted in three categories, namely, category-I (for classes V-VI), category-II (for classes VII-VIII) and category-III (for classes IX-X-XI). Approximately 6,500 students appeared in the examination at 47 examination centres in the state. The number of students is the highest in recent years, said Dr. Ashish Paul, General Secretary, Assam Academy Mathematics. He said the large number of workshops organized by various branches of Assam Academy Mathematics and the Centre Coordinators of Assam Mathematics Olympiad in different parts of the state have enhanced the mathematical skills of the school students and motivated them to participate in Mathematics Olympiad. Dr. Paul thanked the Olympiad conveners Dr. Debashish Sharm and Dr. Parama Dutta, members of Olympiad sub-committee, Olympiad Centre Coordinators, all the branches of Assam Academy of Mathematics and all the persons involved in the examination process for the smooth conduct of the state level Mathematics Competition.
