Guwahati Lions Club celebrated AAZADI KA AMRIT MOHATSAV

Staff Reporter, Guwahati, August 13: On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Raghunath Bn of Indian Army celebrated AZADI KA AMRIT MOHATSAV along with LIONS CLUB GUWAHATI METRO including 600 personnel’s from the Raghunath Bn Indian Army, NCC Cadets and School Children. A Cycle Rally was also organized which started from Narengi with 50 Army Personnel at 5 AM. And from Paltan Bazar, NCC Camp, approx 600 Army Personnel’s, NCC cadets and school children joined the rally. Lions Club of Guwahati Metro under the campaign of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Har Ghar Tiranga, distributed 500 Flags to all the cyclists present in the rally celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Shaurya Veer Chakra Col Ajay Singh Kushwaha of the Raghunath Bn has inaugurated the Rally. Raghunath Bn is one of the oldest Bn of the Indian Army since 1856. The Rally was a successful event followed by a cultural programme by the INDIAN ARMY BAND. The Rally ended at Durgapur Mandir Ground, Dharapur at 8 AM. The main purpose of the Rally was to spread awareness of one India and clean India. There was commendable cooperation of the Raghunath Bn and NCC cadets to spread the message of clean environment. Chairperson of the event Lion Rajesh Surana was the key person behind the success of this wonderful rally. President Prabha Kothari, Secretary Manoj Jain and Treasurer Mohit Baid along with many other members of Lions Metro attended the event.
