Golaghat DC holds review meeting with various departments

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, August 26: Dr P Uday Praveen, Deputy Commissioner, Golaghat held a review meeting with the concerned officials of education department at the conference hall of DC office on various issues including school dropouts, education for the specially abled children and quality education in all govt schools. He emphasized on cluster wise survey & monitoring with special focus where pass percentage in the HSLC examination is very low in the district. He also discussed the dropout rate of specially abled students and suggested generating awareness among them through social media platforms and various other means of publicity. He stressed on ensuring quality education among the students so that they can develop all of their attributes and skills in their respective schools itself. The meeting was attended by Dr Sangeeta Borthakur ADC (Education), Dr Samiran Bora, Inspector of Schools, Golaghat & officials concerned. After that the new Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat chaired a meeting at the conference hall of the DC office with the officials of the land acquisition branch today. The meeting discussed the progress of ongoing 11 projects in the district under the said branch and various aspects related to land acquisition. The meeting was attended by Sultana Akhtara Ahmed, ADC (LA) & officials concerned. In a separate meeting Dr P Uday Praveen also reviewed the schemes and activities of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Golaghat. District Veterinary Officer, Dr Satya Dutta took part in the meeting.
