GJV celebrates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav & Har Ghar Tiranga

Staff Reporter, Golaghat, August 13: To mark the occasion of 75th year of India's independence which is named as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and also to promote Har Ghar Tiranga campaign a program was held at Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya, one of the premier vernacular medium schools in Golaghat . Total 75 National Flags were unfurled at the school premises and every student carrying a National Flag in hand performed together the patriotic song 'Vande Mataram'. After that a special session was held at the Jogen Punyaprabha Auditorium of Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya where the President of the Education Trust and renowned writer Dr Ajit Baruah delivered a speech on how India got freedom from the British rule through violent and non violent ways and also described about the role of Golaghat and Assam in the freedom movement. Principal Smritirekha Bora, Vice Principal Banashree Kakaty, all the teachers and students were present in both the programs.
