SMSS protest against Pengeri-Bordumsa NH construction

STAFF REPORTER Tinsukia, July 11: Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (Smss) today implemented a one hour sit-in strike demanding construction of a national highway connecting Pengeri to Bordumsa. Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti Pengeri-Bordumsa Regional Committee implemented the sit-in strike with the help of local people.Vice President of Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti Tinsukia district Gautam Baruah and more than hundred members attended the Programme. Various slogans raised the air of Bordumsa demanding construction of national highway connecting Pengeri to Bordumsa.The protesters demanded that the dilapidated national highway be constructed at the earliest and the traffic should be streamlined. Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti district Vice President Gautam Baruah said Otherwise Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti Pengeri-Bordumsa Regional Committee intensifying a democratic movement upcoming days, a memorandum containing several demands to Margherita SDO through officer in charge Bordumsa PS from the spot.
