NYK organized blood donation camp in Lakhimpur

STAFF REPORTER, North Lakhimpur, July 7: On the occasion of the birthday of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), North Lakhimpur organized a blood donation camp in Lakhimpur Medical College (LMC) on July 6 in association with LMC Blood Bank. More than hundred youths from the Lakhimpur district donated blood in the camp. An awareness meeting was also held in the camp where Lakhimpur district ADC Gitali Duwarah was present and encouraged the blood donors. BJP Lakhimpur district president Phanidhar Baruah delivered a lecture on various usefulnesses of donating blood while LMC Deputy Superintendent Dr. Nikhil Kakati delivered a lecture on proliferation of blood donation and its real truth. LMC Blood Bank in-charge Dr. Nitumoni Khatlari, Lakhimpur district NYK youth co-ordinator Sujata Bhowmik, BJP Lakhimpur district secretary Hitesh Borah, office secretary Jiten Dutta, Pallavi Gohain Bordoloi, Dula Saikia and Achchyut Pawe of Lakhimpur BJP, social worker Rupam Jyoti Chetia and volunteers of North Lakhimpur NYK were present in the awareness meeting.
