Nagaon, July 12: With a view to educate students as well as the faculty members about the innovation ecosystem at the regional and national level, the Institution of Innovative Cell, Dhing College organized a series of lectures on June 25 and July 8 last. Dr Biman Hazarika, principal of the college applauded the efforts of the IIC of the college for organizing the series of lectures saying there is a need to bring students into startup culture and to provide them a platform through which they can convert their respective ideas into innovation. The theme of the first lecture was on startup where kolkata based interior designer Ankita Dutta ( aluminee, Dhing College), professional ramp model, ramp walk trainer and owner of Kolkata wallpaper and interior, Dr Dhrubajyoti Sarma, associate professor and founder, Deffodil nursery and Deffodil college of horticulture, were present in the programme as the resource persons. While in the second lecture held on July 8 last, Joon Rajkhuwa, a noted businessman and Satyen M Mahanta graced the occasion as resource persons. Over 70 participants took part in the series of lectures held online through google meet that was moderated by Kankana Sarma, department of political science. Rajkhuwa, a leading businessman and an active civil society member of Nagaon shared his professional experiences in a number of businesses over the last 30 years, urging the young entrepreneurs to be innovative in the new economy, a release added.
