3 days summer workshop on Bishnu Sangeet and Jyoti Sangeet held

STAFF REPORTER, Udalguri, July 18: A three day summer workshop was organized on Bishnu Sangeet and Jyoti Sangeet at Bongaon Primary School from 15 to 17 of July by Bongaon Primary School in collaboration with Purandia Sahitya Sabha. The summer workshop program was successfully concluded today. The conclusion program was attended by Dr. Narayan Bora, principal of Paneri College and praised the initiative of the school and Purandia Sahitya Sabha for organizing this type of helpful summer camp. Trainer Girish Gautam, Dhrubajyoti Rabha, headmaster of Dakua Primary school Gajen Sarma, singer Pallabi Tara, Lifetime member of Assam Sahitya Sabha Hemen Saikia gave a lecture at the conclusion program. Biswajit Saharia, headmaster of Bongaon Primary school and tabla instrumentalist distributed the certificates for participating in the three days summer workshop among 60 students. Girish Gautam, Dhrubajyoti Rabha, Biswajit Saharia and Pulin Rabha participated in the three days summer workshop as trainers. The conclusion program, which was led by Phatik Nandan Rabha was attended by Gajen Sarma headmaster of Dakua Primary School, Khagendra Nath Bora president of Purandia Sahitya Sabha, socialist Dadhiram Rabha, natural artist and cultural worker Batiram Modahi, teacher Naba Kumar Tamuli, comedian artist of Rangia Naren Sarma, cultural worker Paresh Das. For organizing such a summer workshop among the students for betterment of Assamese culture, locals praised the initiative.
