Chirang, June 27: A total of 6 candidates in arts and science stream from Basugaon Centre were able to score star marks in the final examination results of higher secondary examinations announced today. A total of 9 people including star marks in science stream passed 87.17 per cent against the total 92.19 per cent of council including 24 in second division and 31 in third division. On the other hand, 40 people with star marks in arts stream passed with 72.81 percent against 83.48 percent of council including 40 in the first division, 65 in the second division and 56 in the third division. A total of 52.94 percent from Basugaon Senior Secondary School Centre. It may be recalled that the result of higher secondary final examination across Chirang with 307 as against 271 successful candidates is 88.27 per cent in science stream and 2771 out of 2031 passed candidates in arts stream with 73.29 percent pass rate.
