Bajali, 15 July: Just after
taking charge of Bajali district as the Deputy Commissioner, Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury had
started a mission in keeping the interest for all round development of the
district. As a part of his mission he visited various government offices in
different parts of the district. In his visit he tried to understand the
overall status of various government schemes as well as offices. Choudhury
acknowledged the important contributions in the social life of Assam by
advancing education, literature and culture and said that the government will
take appropriate steps to make Bajali district a full-fledged district as soon
as possible. As a newly formed district its officers will have a lot of public
expectations and officials have to be careful to fulfil that expectation of the
people. The
Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Bhaluki water supply scheme under Jal
Jeevan Mission. The commissioner visited various residents to find out whether
the public was benefited by this scheme i.e. getting water properly or
not. The deputy minister was accompanied
by executive magistrate Ayaz Tanbir Alam and assistant executive engineer of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED),
Pathsala circle Nitul Talukdar. The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the people
of the district to come forward for COVID-19 testing in order to secure their
life and to combat the pandemic effectively. He urged the common people to
maintain COVID appropriate behaviour strictly so that the contagion of the novel
coronavirus could be arrested.
