Jan Ashirwad Yatra draws massive public response in Dhemaji District

Staff Reporter, Dhemaji: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra witnessed an overwhelming public response across parts of Upper Assam on Thursday, boosting the morale of party workers ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections. According to a statement issued from the BJP’s state headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to participate in the yatra in the constituencies of Dhemaji, Sissiborgaon and Jonai. The yatra began from the playground of Subansiri College and passed through several areas including Mainapara, Sissiborgaon, Gogamukh and Simenchapori before concluding at Jonai. Large numbers of people, including youth, senior citizens and local residents, gathered along the route to welcome the procession. State BJP Media Panelist Ashish Bharali said the massive turnout reflects strong public support for the leadership of Chief Minister Sarma and the development initiatives undertaken by the government across Assam. He also noted that the presence of Assam BJP State President and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia during the yatra further energised party workers at the grassroots level. Bharali added that people from districts such as Dhemaji District, Dibrugarh District, Golaghat District and Tinsukia District have extended enthusiastic support to the Chief Minister, highlighting the impact of infrastructure development, land protection initiatives and other governance measures undertaken by the state government.
