Staff Reporter, Guwahati: In a spirited show of unity and patriotism, the Regional Headquarters of Airports Authority of India (RHQ-NER) on Tuesday organised a vibrant ‘Tiranga Rally’ on bikes as part of Phase II of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The rally, aimed at inspiring public participation and spreading the tricolour spirit in communities around Guwahati Airport, brought together officials from AAI, Guwahati International Airport Limited (GIAL), CISF, and various airlines. Flagged off by M. Raja Kishore, Regional Executive Director, AAI, NER, the event saw around 100 bikers riding as ‘Tiranga Volunteers’. The 12-kilometre route started from the RHQ-NER Administrative Block, passing through Gaon Panchayat areas, the local police station, and the airport road before returning to the starting point. The sight of riders proudly carrying the national flag evoked a strong wave of patriotic fervour among onlookers. The initiative echoes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for citizens to become volunteers in the largest nationwide Jan Bhagidari Andolan, fostering active public engagement in celebrating the nation’s identity. RHQ-NER, under the leadership of Shri Kishore, has been at the forefront of the campaign since Phase I, setting a high patriotic tone for the celebrations.
