Staff Reporter, Kokrajhar: One person was killed and another critically injured in a tragic road accident early Thursday morning on the Samoka River bridge near Alangi Bazar in the Bishmuri area of Kokrajhar district. According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle lost control while crossing the bridge and plunged into the Samoka River. The impact of the crash killed one rider on the spot, while the other sustained severe injuries. Kokrajhar police responded promptly to the incident, recovering the deceased’s body and rushing the injured individual to Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital. Hospital sources confirmed that the injured victim suffered a fractured leg and is currently under medical observation. As of now, the identities of the two individuals have not been confirmed. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
