KIIT Achieves 5th Rank in India in THE Impact Rankings 2025

Bhubaneswar: KIIT Deemed to be University has achieved a major milestone by securing the 5th position among Indian universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025. This recognition places KIIT among the top institutions in the country contributing significantly to global sustainable development goals. This year, KIIT has been acknowledged for its outstanding performance in several critical areas. It ranked first in India in promoting reduced inequalities and in fostering peace, justice, and strong institutions. The university also earned the third spot nationally for its dedication to delivering quality education. These achievements reflect KIIT's unwavering commitment to inclusive and equitable development through higher education. Globally, KIIT was placed in the 101 cohort among over 2,400 participating universities from 130 countries. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess universities based on their real-world contributions to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making this recognition a mark of substantial international credibility. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, expressed pride in the university's accomplishments. He remarked that despite its modest beginnings, KIIT has carved out a space for itself on the global academic stage, gaining recognition across various international accreditations and rankings. He further emphasized that KIIT's consistent performance is a reflection of its focus on quality education, sustainability, social inclusion, and global collaboration.
