Nagaon, August 8: Amidst the ongoing unrest situation in Bangladesh, based on specific inputs, a police team from Dhing PS arrested one Bangladeshi national identified as Humayun Kabir of Lathi Mathurtol Bazar in Sylhet district in Bangladesh from Dhing cattle market this afternoon while he along with three other local youths was negotiating with a cattle trader for purchasing cattle. Sources claimed that the police team immediately picked up all of them and recovered over 9 cattle heads from their possessions. The arrested other three youths have been identified as Motibur Rahman, Abul Hussain of Geruati and Makbul Hussain of Gerukamukh under Khatowal PS in the district, sources added. During the interrogation, the arrested Bangladeshi youth stated that he entered into Indian territory crossing border via Dawki in Meghalaya on August 4 by offering bribe of Rs 500 to the on-duty border security force (BSF) and reached Borghat in Nagaon on August 6 from where he was taken to Geruati by the other three youths of Geruati as well as Gerukamukh under Khatowal PS. Based on his statement, police immediately launched a search operation at Geruati village during which the police team from Dhing PS was able to recover his mobile phone containing two sim cards, sources said further. Meanwhile Dhing police registered a case in this regard and the further investigation into the case is on, sources added here.
