A Correspondent, Itanagar, August 13: A 600-foot-long tricolour was carried in a Tiranga Yatra in Seppa, East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Program. Over 2000 students from schools across the East Kameng district participated in the programme. East Kameng DC Sachin Rana, Arunachal Home Minister Mama Natung, MLA Seppa East Ealling Tallang, Hayeng Mangfi MLA Chayangtajo attended the mass Tiranga Yatra at Seppa. In 2023, the East Kameng district had earned praise for its 300-foot-long national flag which rallied in Seppa town. The rally was led by State Home Minister-cum-native of East Kameng district Mama Natung marking India’s 77 years of Independence. The event saw participation of thousands of people, who held the flag and walked across the streets chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. Addressing the gathering, Natung highlighted the prime objective of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and spoke on the importance of the national flag. He said, "The tricolour of the national flag has special importance. While the colour saffron denotes sacrifice and power, white and green depict peace, truth, and growth, respectively. I would appeal to every citizen to hoist the national flag in their houses to display their patriotism." He informed that the 600-foot-long flag has been brought from New Delhi to patronise nationalism among the public and will be rallied within Seppa town and other adjacent areas. Natung also acknowledged the contributions of the district administration and the police department in making the 'Nasha Mukt Abhiyan' in the district an effective campaign. Sachin Rana, DC East Kameng urged all to voluntarily help the district government in making the district proud and grow in every single sector.
