Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali, June 22: As per the call of the central committee of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Biswanath district AASU staged a demonstration against the anomalies seen in the recently conducted NEET and NET examinations today here at Biswanath Chariali. The AASU activists had burnt down the effigies of union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the state education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu at Swahid Bhawan here. The AASU workers shouted slogans against the anomalies seen in the recently conducted NEET and NET examinations and the anomalies seen in the SAMARTH portal of the state government regarding the merit lists. The AASU workers burnt down the effigies and demanded a high level inquiry leading to the serious educational anomalies. The demonstration was attended by Bikram Bikash Bora, central executive member, Md Ajmat Sheikh, president of Biswanath AASU, Suraj Bhuyan, president of Biswanath sub-division AASU, Sushil Tanti, general secretary besides the AASU workers from various regional and branch committees under Biswanath district AASU.
