Proficiency Test of Police Canines Ops Dogs held

Staff Reporter, Gossaigaon, July 13: A Proficiency Evaluation Test of Police Canines Ops Dogs (Explosive and Narcotics) was organized by the Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at 31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon on Thursday last. Under the guidance of Dr. E. Chaoba Singh (Commandant Vety), the program witnessed a remarkable successful search operation on July 11 at Srirampur Check post, followed by another one on Thursday at Gossaigaon Railway Station. The campaign was led by training officer Dr. E. Chaoba Singh, Commandant Chiranjib Bhattacharjee of the 31 Bn SSB, and ASI/GD Rajvinder Singh. The purpose of the proactive initiative was to fortify security checkpoints and ensure the safety of the community by effectively employing the expertise of the SSB's canine units in detecting explosives and narcotics, adds Dr. E. Chaoba Singh (Commandant Vety). The test which started on July 3 and will continue till July 15 SSB sources said.
