Minister Parimal Suklabaidya attends Gunotsav in Nagaon

Staff Reporter, Silchar, January 20: Minister for Transport, Excise and Fisheries Parimal Suklabaidya visited Nagaon district on Thursday where he graced the occasion as an external evaluator as a part of Assam Government's fourth phase of Gunotsav. Minister Suklabaidya first visited Jungal Bolhu Garh Swahid Smriti High School in Raha Dighliyati and exchanged views with the students. Later, minister Suklabaidya visited Bhageswar Hazarika Girls Higher Secondary School and also exchanged views with the students and teachers. Meanwhile, the Minister Suklabaidya called upon to evaluate the academic results of every student and to determine effective strategies to improve the quality of education and to improve the school environment. It is worthy to mention that the first phase of Gunotsav will be held for a total of 4 days from Wednesday to January 21. The first phase of Gunotsav has started in a total of 11 districts of the state. These 11 districts are- Barpeta, Karimganj, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Kamrup, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nagaon, Shivsagar, Dakshin Shalmara, Mankachar and Udalguri. A total of 16,940 schools have conducted Gunotsav under the program in Assamese, Baro, Bengali, Hindi, English, Nepali, Garo and Manipuri in the first phase of Gunotsav from Wednesday in 11 districts. It should be noted that Gunotsav is one of the steps taken by the Assam government to ensure quality primary education by increasing academic results. The first phase of Gunotsav of this year started from Wednesday in the district with extensive preparations.
