Diabetes awareness camp held in North Lakhimpur

Staff Reporter, North Lakhimpur, November 21: Under the ageis of Lions Club, Lakhimpur, and in association with All Care Diagnostic and Research Center Private Limited, Guwahati, a diabetes awareness camp was held at the Lakhimpur district jail, North Lakhimpur on Sunday where about 300 prisoners were checked up to know whether they had diabetes or not. The camp was inaugurated by the president of the Club Monuj Bharadwaj. Club member Dr. Upendra Nath Dutta highlighted the causes, precautions and preventions of diabetes in the camp. Lion Dr. Moon Rudrapal also addressed the event. The camp which started at 11 a.m. came to an end at 4 p.m. The Lakhimpur district jail authority thanked the Lions Club, Lakhimpur for organising the camp among its prisoners at the jail.
