Blood donation camp organized Biswanath

Staff Reporter, Biswanath Chariali, November 21: To commemorate the 400th birth anniversary of Lachit Barphukan, the Biswanath District Administration in association with District Health Society, Biswanath organized a blood donation camp at the Officer’s Club here today. The blood donation camp was formally inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Munindra Nath Nagatey. Inaugurating the blood donation camp, the deputy commissioner himself donated a unit of blood. The deputy commissioner expressed his happiness at being a part of this noble mission that was organized in conjunction with the 400th birth anniversary of the great hero Lachit Barphukan. The blood donation camp was attended by Ananya Lahkar, assistant commissioner of Biswanath, Trailokya Bargohai, district account manager of National Health Mission and several senior officers, employees and students from various educational institutions and donated blood. The program was also attended by Liza Talukdar, additional commissioners of Biswanath District, Dr. Suryakamal Bora and Biswajit Saikia, ADC’s, Ananya Lahkar, assistant commissioner, Dr. Yogen Chandra Bay, Joint Director of Health Services, Dr. Nripen Saikia, Sub-Divisional Health Officer, Dr. Gunjan Pathak, officer-in-charge of Blood Bank, Biswanath beside others.
